With the First Board of Directors, the Society of Greek Philologists enters the stage of its operation fully and legally, fulfilling a long-standing request of the Greek Philologists. Since then, the Society has been continuously active in the scientific and educational field, aiming at the essential cultivation and dissemination of the Greek language in its timeless form as well as the promotion of humanities and classical education.
